Located in the village of Knowlton on Brome Lake in the Eastern Townships, Marina Knowlton has been serving the boating public for many years. Originally built c. 1890, the “Boathouse” began as a family business and continues to keep a family-oriented atmosphere. Surrounded by the old town’s Victorian architecture, the vibrantly green Marina Knowlton emerges on the Southern tip of Brome Lake offering one of the best terrace views one can find.
Purchased by the Moar family in 1980, what was then a rustic boat shack has been transformed into a tropical escape by Gerry Moar and his 3 daughters. Now Gerry and his youngest daughter Jaime are the duo that run what is known as simply ‘The Marina’ together. Gerry takes care of the seasonal slips for boats, the gas bar, and basically everything boat and maintenance related while Jaime manages the restaurant bar with an amazing team by her side.
Just over an hour’s drive from Montreal, you can step onto the deck of Marina Knowlton and be instantly transported to a tranquil tropical escape. The friendly locals and relaxed vibe will welcome you with open arms. Whether having a yummy burger with family or some drinks with friends while enjoying the view, the natural beauty and hidden treasures of this small Québec town will make you want to return time and time again…
